Updating the firmware from a computer
Important: this option applies only if the CWCVT is currently running firmware v1.1.0.107 or later. If the CWCVT runs
firmware older than v1.1.0.107, you must use the CWa to update the firmware. For details about how to view the existing firmware version, refer to CWCVT Wireless MS/TP Converter User Guide (LIT-12014120).
1. Download the firmware here: CWCVT Firmware 1.1.0.371
2. Unzip the downloaded file to make the cwcvt-1.1.0.371-rel-ota.bin file accessible on the local machine.
3. Connect the CWCVT to a compatible controller or MS/TP trunk and set the CWCVT to Wi-Fi AP Router mode.
4. Connect a computer or tablet to the CWCVT. See CWCVT Wireless MS/TP Converter User Guide (LIT-12014120) for details about how to connect a computer to the CWCVT.
5. When connected, launch a browser on the computer or tablet and navigate to address: http://192.168.142.1. Due to the HTTP connection, you may need to click Advanced > Proceed.
6. When the browser page is displayed, select Diagnostics from the left menu bar.
7. Scroll down to the Firmware Update section.
8. Click Choose File to navigate to the location where you saved the new firmware .bin file in Step 1.
9. Select the firmware file, then click Upload to transfer the file into the CWCVT.
10. When the firmware is installed, the CWCVT automatically runs the new firmware.
